Henderson Park has over 6 miles of hiking trails that includes a paved and a 1.75-mile loop around Lake Erin, with wildlife and plants along the way.

Difficulty level:  Easy to Moderate. There are a few challenging hills, but alternate trails to avoid them as well. The paved path, on the Henderson Road side of the park, is roughly ½-mile of easy walking, but good exercise! The blue, red and white-trails through the park are 1-2 miles in length on unpaved paths.

Terrain:  Unpaved wooded trails with roots and rocks and small creek crossings (no need to get wet feet though).

Dogs, and their owners, are welcome in Henderson Park. Dogs must be “under restraint and control at all times” as per DeKalb County Parks Rules & Ordinances.  And, we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE all owners to “scoop the poop".
