About Friends of Henderson Park
The mission of the Friends of Henderson Park is to engage the community in the maintenance, beautification, and improvement of Henderson Park, and to enhance the value of the park for all who use it.
Henderson Park is located in Tucker, Georgia, and consists of approximately 120 acres. Regular park visitors include birders, cyclists, dog walkers, tennis players, picnickers, soccer players, fishermen, hikers, and gardeners. Among the park’s amenities are soccer fields, tennis courts, a playground, picnic shelters, hiking trails, a lake, a “Native Plant and Wildlife Walk”, and a community garden.
The Friends of Henderson Park group was established in the fall of 2011 not to address a problem, but rather to build upon what the park already offers, to enhance its value to all the different park users and to attract new users.
